As I started out investing in a foolish way by just blindly following leads from articles and thinking that I could simply do contra trading (buy & sell before settlement date) to make some quick bucks. Somehow I did manage to make some money but they were quick dissolved when Fed Chairwoman Janet Yellen announced Fed's tapering resulting in market reaction of a downwards trend. In end I lost all the profit and incurred some losses.
This was a point where I figured I should learn to understand what I am doing and do it the right way before I get into bigger losses which defeats my goal and purpose of wanting to invest in the first place.
The ultimate goal is simple to make money!
